Cafe Day Planner

The Cafe Day Planner turns Vacation Cafe Simulator’s calm systems into a session agenda you can follow. Use it before opening the demo or a launch-day lobby so shopping, cooking, service, and upgrades do not collapse into pleasant chaos.

How to use this planner

Copy the sections into a note, Discord message, or voice-chat pinned post. Fill every field that applies. Solo players still benefit — “future you” forgets the mozzarella as easily as a distracted friend.

1. Session identity

  • Date / build: demo or full game
  • Players (1–4): names
  • Tone goal: chill sightseeing, menu practice, renovation evening, or co-op service drill
  • Target length: 45 / 90 / 150 minutes

2. Role assignments

RolePlayerNotes
Shopper / runnerTown trips, restocks
Prep cookCutting, staging
Heat / finisherOven and final cook
Front of houseOrders, delivers, cleans
Treasurer (upgrades)Only buyer in management menu

3. Menu for tonight

List one signature dish and up to two support items (often a drink plus a simple plate). Pin recipes before you open. Details in Cooking and Recipes and Controls.

  • Signature:
  • Support 1:
  • Support 2:

4. Shopping and exploration goals

  • Primary shop list:
  • Specialty stop (farm / winery / coastal):
  • Must-return-before-open items:

Use Exploration and the Recipe Prep Checklist for longer errands.

5. Open / close plan

  1. Prep while closed.
  2. Open for a limited seating count.
  3. Mid-session close for restock or upgrade?
  4. Final close time and cleanup owner:

Service habits are covered in Serving Customers.

6. Upgrade target

Pick one purchase before you earn the money:

  • Equipment needed for next recipe:
  • Seating change:
  • Decor reward:

Spending logic lives in Cafe Upgrades.

7. Success criteria

Check any that matter tonight:

  • Every pinned dish cooked once successfully
  • No abandoned dirty tables at close
  • One town loop completed
  • One upgrade purchased intentionally
  • Screenshot of the dining room
  • Friends still want a second session

Sample 90-minute solo plan

  1. 10 min — learn/pin recipe, walk kitchen.
  2. 15 min — shop and stage.
  3. 40 min — open, cook, serve, clean.
  4. 15 min — close, upgrade, rearrange one corner.
  5. 10 min — optional coastal or farm walk.

Sample 90-minute four-player plan

  1. 10 min — assign roles, password lobby, pin menu.
  2. 15 min — shopper gathers while prep clears stations.
  3. 45 min — limited open seating, strict handoffs.
  4. 20 min — close, treasurer buys one tool, group decor vote.

After the session

Write one sentence about the bottleneck you hit — shopping, oven, deliveries, or indecision. That sentence chooses tomorrow’s guide: Demo Walkthrough, cooking, serving, or upgrades. For launch timing of bigger friend parties, see Release Date.

A planner does not make Vacation Cafe Simulator stressful. It protects the vacation mood by removing the only real enemy of cozy co-op: four people wanting the same knife at the same time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about cooking, service, co-op, and launch prep.

Do solo players need a cafe day planner?

Yes. A short agenda prevents endless open hours with no upgrades, shopping, or cleanup structure.

How many dishes should we run per session?

One signature dish plus one or two support items keeps quality high without overwhelming the pass.

Who should control upgrades?

Pick one treasurer so the group does not buy conflicting furniture mid-service.

Where do I learn the roles in more depth?

Read the Co-op Multiplayer guide, then return here to fill the role table.
